Amber Fort.

We woke up early the next day to see Amber Fort (around half an hour ride away from Jaipur). The other 3 chose not to follow us because they were kinda sick of seeing forts (they saw the fort in Jodphur and said it was breathtaking).

The Jal Mahal aka Water Palace / Floating Palace along the way to Amber Fort (closed to public):

And we finally got to Amber Fort!:

Nothing beats an elepant ride up the fort!:

Beautiful golden fort, smelly elephants and clear blue skies:

The gateway into the fort:

The central courtyard:

Took turns to take pictures:

Well, even though we had paid earlier on at the ticketing booth below, the elephant guy asked for more 'tips'. I gave him some spare change and unsatisfied, he asked for more from Zhongx. Zhongx gave him a S$1 dollar coin and the dude had the WDF-expression... LOL. Mean...

The forts kinda huge!

Some really really old looking city within the compund; there were peacocks there!

The gate:

Inside:

Gorgeous marble - not unlike the Taj Mahal:

'Jacuzzi' thermal baths which reeked of piss:

Decided to fool around inside:

So it was time to leave the beautiful Amber Fort.. via the stairs, had to be careful not to step on some elephant dung along the way!
